From your Admin Center main panel, click the button above to access the General Settings / Administration screen. This is where the software is configured to work with your website, as well as customized for your specific needs. Below are explanations for each of the Setting fields.
Upon installation this field is set and should not be changed.

WAW sends all emails using one of two methods:
- The path to the sendmail program on this domain, or
- An SMTP server.
Upon installation this field is set and unless emails are not working correctly, shouldn't need to be changed. The "Test" button will send a test email to the address entered in the "Admin Invoice Email" field below to make sure that emails are working correctly.

This field should contain the complete email address (i.e.; name@server.com) you want used and associated with WAW. It will appear as the FROM and REPLY TO field of all emails sent from WAW.

Enter the complete URL including "http://" of the page you want listed as your Home Page. If your WAW mallplex is the only website you have, you can use it as your Home URL. Just enter the URL to access your mall main page, which should be http://www.yourdomain.xxx/waw/.
In many cases WAW will not be your only website and will be accessed from a link on your main website. In these cases, the Home URL link is perfect for redirecting people back to your main home page. In the example above, we direct people to our eCommerce Toolbox website, which is where they originally linked to our mallplex.

Enter your company information in the above fields. This information is used in places like the Contact Us page, the Renewal Email and others.
Name: The name of your company.
Address: The address of your company. (Appears on on one line).
Contact: How visitors can contact you other than email. (i.e.; phone, fax etc.)
Email: Your email address to contact you. Usually the same as the Admin Email.
Website URL: Your main website or WAW main page URL. (Usually the same URL as used for the HOME navigational link. Be sure it starts with http:// )
Copyright: Your company name and/or year. The "©" symbol will automatically be displayed in front of the text you enter.

Page Title: This text will appear at the top of the Browser window, in the Title Bar. For example, the Page Title of this User Guide reads, Wizard Internet Software(TM) - User's Guide.
<META> Tag: Keywords and Description are META Tags that appear in the HTML code of all mallplex pages. They can be helpful when trying to achieve good search engine positioning. For Keywords, use relevant search words that people would use to locate you. Place commas between each keyword. The Description should be a sentence describing your website, product or service.
Top Red Text: The text you enter here appears as bold red text above logo on each mallplex page as shown in figure #1 below. This is a great way to personalize or brand your mallplex website. Leave it blank to if you don't want any text to appear.

Top Logo Image: The default logo (webadlogo02.gif) is the large image at the top of each page as shown in figure #1 below. Many people choose to use this image, but you can also upload and use your own. To use an image from the dropdown box, just select it and press the Update Settings button at the bottom of the page. You can upload your own images to select from in the dropdown box. They must be in JPEG or GIF format and not more than 477x80 (width x height) pixels in size. To upload your own image, follow the simple instructions below.
Top Left Image: This is the image that appears in the top left corner of each mallplex page, as show in Figure #1 below. There are several preinstalled images to select from, or you can upload your own. They must be in JPEG or GIF format and should not exceed 123x80 (width x height) pixels. To use an image from the dropdown box, just select it and press the Update Settings button at the bottom of the page.
How to Upload Your Own Images:
You can upload and use GIF (.gif) or JPEG (.jpg) images from your computer, which will appear in the dropdown boxes above for you to select from. To do this, you will first need to make sure your images meet the size requirements mentioned above and you know where they are located on your computer. When ready, follow these simple steps.
- Click the Browse button to launch the 'choose file' window. At the top you should see a dropdown box labeled "Look in". Click this box and then locate the image file on your computer. After selecting the image file, click Open.
IMPORTANT: Before locating the file, make sure the "Files of type" dropdown box has "All Files" selected.
- After opening the image, the path should appears in the box to the left of the Browse button. Click the Upload button, which will add the image to the dropdown list.
- That's how easy it is to upload an image! Now, in order for the image to be viewable in your mallplex, you must select it from the dropdown box and then click the Update Settings button at the page bottom.

Intro Text: Use this field to personalize your mallplex main page and to greet visitor's. You can enter text or HTML in the above box, which will appear on the mallplex main page as show in Figure #2 below. You can enter "plain text" by deleting anything currently in the box and simply typing it in. It will appear as plain black text. If you want to format your text, you will need to use HTML. If you don't know HTML, you can try replacing the default text with your own, making sure not to modify the surrounding HTML code. For more information on creating HTML text, see the Tips page.

Text Below "Place An Ad": Use this field to customize the "PLACE AN AD!" portion of your mallplex main page as show in Figure #2 below. This is a good place to entice visitors into placing an ad of their own.

Using the above fields, you can display up to seven linkable image banners in the left panel of your mallplex, just below the navigational buttons. The same seven banners will appear on every page. You can see a sample banner in the above Figure #2.
Image Type: Images must be in either GIF or JPEG format. That means the extensions must end in .gif or .jpg.
Image Size: Since the left panel is 95 pixels wide, the image should be 95 pixels wide or less also. The height can be anything you want. (FYI, the sample banner included is 95x75.
As shown in the above image,
each banner has two settings, an "Image URL" and "Link URL".Image URL: This shows the path and name of the image that has been uploaded. You do not type anything here. The Upload feature will take care of this, as you will see in a moment.
Link URL: This is the Web address where you want the image to link to. Be sure to use a complete URL, which begins with http:// . For example, http://somewebsite.com.
How to Upload Banners
How to Delete/Change Banners
To replace a banner image with another, simply use the Upload feature and you are done. This does not delete the previous image from the server, it just adds a new one.
To delete a banner image, click the Delete button. Then remove the Link URL text and click Update Settings at bottom of page.
If the image you are deleting is being used by another banner that you still need, then do not use the Delete feature. Simply remove the text from Image URL and then click Update Settings at bottom of page.
FYI:
Below are some uses for banners:

If you are a member of our affiliate program then you can have a banner displayed (shown below) at the bottom of each ad page in your mall. Currency Symbol: Enter your currency symbol.

Set Duration & Price: Select one or more durations and enter a price (numbers only) for each. Enter a zero to display the word "Free". Your durations and prices will be presented for advertisers to select from when placing or renewing ads. "Free" ads are instantly viewable in your mallplex, while paid ads are not until they are marked as paid.
Select How Ads Should be Listed: Select whether new ads should be listed first or last.
Set Pre-expiration Date For Email Renewal: Enter the number of days before an ad expires the renewal email is sent. If you set this at 7 and an advertiser places a two week ad, he/she will receive the renewal email one week after placing the ad and have seven days to renew it. The Renewal Email is automatically sent if a Cronjob was able to be setup. If not, you will need to click the Force Auto Renew/Delete button before an ad expires.

Set Days For Auto Delete: Enter the number of days after an ad is placed you want it to be deleted if not "marked as paid".
How many days should I enter? The amount of days you enter is basically the time want to allow from after an ad is placed until payment is received and you mark the ad as paid. If you only offer online payment, then you can set it for one or two days since they should be paying right away. If you allow people to mail in payments, you may want to set it for seven or more days. Since non-free ads are not viewable until they are "marked as paid", it will not hurt to allow plenty of time to receive payment.
If you do not "mark an ad as paid" prior to the amount of days set for auto-delete, the ad will be automatically deleted [if a Cronjob was set], or when you click the Force Auto Renew/Delete button.
Entering a zero "0" means never delete (except if expired), which is good if you are ONLY offering free ads, otherwise you should enter a number.
Set Amount of Categories: Enter the maximum number of categories an ad can be posted to. If you enter the number 4, then advertisers can select up to 4 categories for their ad to appear in.
Set Maximum Image Size (in KB): Enter the maximum size of an image that can be uploaded to an ad by an advertiser. If you enter the number 20, then only images up to 20KB can be uploaded. If an advertiser tries to upload an image larger than 20KB, they will receive a message stating that the file size exceeds 20 KB.
Since most images will be less than than 450x300 pixels, a file size of 15-30KB is plenty for JPEG and GIF images. Some people will have images that are not optimized as well as they should be and therefore will be larger in size. Naturally, the larger the image, the more space it will take up on your server. There shouldn't be any reason to have a max image size greater than 40KB.
Email Thank Text:
Enter the text you want to appear at the bottom of the Ad Invoice Email. The Ad Invoice Email is the email an advertiser receives after placing or renewing an ad. This text is used like an "email signature". Click the link above to see where the text appears in the email. The default text can easily be used by removing the first line and replacing the sample Web address with your own.

Invoice Info Text: (Setting Up Your Payment System / Order Form)
Invoice Info Text is a section of text that gets inserted into both the Invoice Email and the Thank You Invoice Screen. The two previous links show where the text gets inserted.
- The Invoice Email is the email an advertiser receives after placing or renewing an ad.
- The Thank You Invoice Screen is the final screen an advertiser receives after placing or renewing an ad.
The text in the Invoice Info Text field serves two purposes:
How the Payment System Works:
After placing an ad, the client receives the Thank You Invoice Screen, which contains among other things, the Invoice Info Text. This is where you tell clients how to pay for their ads. You can tell them to call a number, mail payment to an address, click a link to an order form or payment system - or all of the above. WAW does not require you to use any specific payment systems/services. It is designed to be as flexible as possible enabling you to use an online payment system such as PayPal, or to to use your own merchant account with a secure order form system that we provide. You don't have to link to a payment system at all if you don't want to. You can simply tell advertisers to print and mail the invoice with a check or money order!
Below are the most common ways to setup payments.
=== Using Your Merchant Account and Secure Order Form System we Provide ===
To use our secure order form system, you must first request it from us. It is only needed if you have your own merchant account. If you can't accept credit cards right now, then you dont need the order form. Use PayPal instead. When requesting it, be sure to include your name, email and domain. We will then send you an email containing a special link to access your Order Form Wizard (OFW) Admin Panel, along with instructions for setting it up.
As soon as you get the OFW email from us, you should access your Admin Panel and change your Username and Password. The Username appears in your secure URL so it should be changed prior to editing the Invoice Info Text field. This is all explained in the email.
The text in the box below should contain the same default text that appears in your Invoice Info Text field. We have placed it here so it is easy for you to edit, and then copy and paste to your Invoice Info Text field. It contains the secure URL for your order form, but you will need to add your OFW Username to the end of the URL in two places. For example, currently it reads like this:
If you change your username to: ect
then the correct URL would look like this:

=== Using an Online Payment System to Accept Credit Card s ===
By entering in HTML to your Invoice Info Text, you can display your own links or buttons. If you do not have a merchant account, you can accept credit cards via a 3rd party service such as PayPal or ClickBank. We recommend PayPal as it is simple and quick to setup.
The text box below contains an example of what your Invoice Info Text setting could look like if you used Paypal..
=== Using No Payment System ===
If you don't want to link clients to an order form, then simply enter Invoice Info Text similar to the following:
Enter the text or HTML that you want to appear on the "Place Ads" page under the "More Information" heading. This text enables you to give more information to potential advertisers about placing an ad in your mallplex, as well as simple instructions for doing so. Click the link above to see where the text is placed. HTML can be used to enhance the appearance, ad links etc. For more information on creating HTML text, see the Tips page.

Enter the text or HTML that you want to appear on the "Contact Us" page. If you do not want any text other than your company information to appear, then leave this field empty. Click the link above to see where the text is placed.

After making any changes on the Settings screen, you MUST click the "Update Settings" button before they will take effect. Only click it once.
