Update Ads Page

The Update Ads page is accessed by clicking in the left navigation panel on any page. This is where current advertisers easily perform the following tasks:

The advertiser can perform the above tasks without your assistance, 24 hours a day. All that is needed is their Ad Number and Password.

Using the Update Ads Control Panel is as simple as point-n-click. Below we review all the areas.

 

Using the Control Panel

When the Update Ads screen is accessed, the following Control Panel is presented.

To update an ad:

If an invalid Ad Number is entered, the following error screen will be displayed:

If an invalid Password is entered, the following error screen will be displayed:

NOTE: Ad Numbers are not case sensitive, Passwords are.

 

Renewing an Ad

Once the Renewal Ad screen is accessed using the instructions above, an ad can be renewed for any duration that is currently offered. The advertiser simply selects the duration/pricing from the dropdown box as shown below and then clicks the Renew button.

NOTE: The durations and pricing that you currently offer are the ones available for renewal, even if they were different when the ad was originally placed. When you change a duration or price, it is automatically changed in the renewal screen.

Once the Renew button is clicked, the advertiser receives the following screen, which contains the same information as the Thank You Invoice screen that an advertiser receives after placing an ad.

 

When an Ad can be Renewed

An ad cannot be renewed until it has reached its expiration period, which is decided by you in the Admin Settings (Pre-Expiration Date For Email Renewal). If it is set for 7 days, then that is when the Renewal Email is sent and that is when an ad can first be renewed. If an advertiser tries to renew an ad prior to this date, the following error message will be displayed giving the exact date it can be renewed:

What to do After an Ad is Renewed

A renewed ad works the same way as first time ad.

Once an ad is renewed, the advertiser receives the "Invoice Email" and "Thank You Invoice" screen explaining how to make payment. Once you receive payment, "mark it as paid" just as you would any other ad. Of course, if it's a "free" ad, then you will not need to "mark it as paid" or do anything at all. What if an Ad is Never Renewed

If an ad is not renewed, it will be automatically be deleted upon the expiration date.

 

Uploading an Image to an Ad

Once the Upload Image to Ad screen is accessed using the instructions above, advertisers can upload an image to their ad. If an ad already contains an existing image, it will be overwritten with the new one. Images that are uploaded must meet the requirements as shown below. The only variable is the "maximum size", which you control from in the Admin Settings.

Edit Ad Text and Links

Once the Edit Ad Text and Links screen is accessed using the instructions above, advertisers can edit any text or links from their ad.

Deleting an Ad

Once the Delete Ad screen is accessed using the instructions above, advertisers can delete their ad permanently from the mall. To delete an ad, click the Delete button.

Once the ad has been deleted, the following screen is displayed.

 

Changing an Ad Password

Once the Change Password screen is accessed using the instructions above, advertisers can change the password used to access the Update Ads Control Panel.
